The Pride of Ripon offers 30 minute scenic cruises from the basin at the head of the Ripon Canal.

This scenic cruise takes you back through history passing the newly built Waterside Apartments, navigating your way towards the lock. This was the main artery for goods inwards and outwards to and from Ripon. Ripon Canal is probably most famous for being the most northern point on the canal system. The canal eventually links to the River Ure by the means of Ox Close Lock this then opens the network of rivers and canals and tidal systems.

The Pride of Ripon was constructed especially for the Ripon Canal it’s mode of propulsion is not traditional! This boat is battery powered to ensure that the wildlife and surroundings are not endangered or disturbed. We invite you to step aboard and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful part of the canal system.
