Yoredale

This narrow boat runs cruises on the River Ure taking passengers on a scenic and relaxing cruise of the river. On your cruise you will see the picturesque scenery and wildlife to be found on the banks of the river.

Your scenic cruise sets off from the bottom of the Herbaceous border of Newby Hall Gardens near Ripon and will last for approximately 30 minutes.

After embarking you will given a short safety talk. During the cruise the captain will give an interesting and informative talk about the different things you can see on your voyage as well as tell you a little history of the river and its tragedies including the famous ferry disaster of 1869. If you are lucky you will also see a range of wildlife including herons and kingfishers.

The Yoredale can carry up to 12 passengers with 1 crew

The Yoredale scenic cruises are available during Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during Newby Hall Open Season (April-September) and daily during August, river levels and weather permitting.
