An Introduction to Foraging – 2.5 hours Cruise & Walk

A fantastic addition to the Ripon Scenic Cruises calendar! This cruise is sure to enliven your appetite for the outdoors! Perfect for any age too. 

Join James aboard the little blue boat for a 2.5 hour trip down the full length of the Ripon Canal. The boat will travel down two locks, and will turn at the River lock before returning to the Basin.

Learn about the art of foraging from the comfort of the boat. Whilst we stop at locks you can be guided around the wild plants that grow at the waterside -you’ll be talked through what you can eat, how to cook what you find and also enjoy a foraged treat aboard.

James has a huge knowledge from years of experience and runs a very successful foraging school. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic aboard, drinks will be provided. Assistance dogs only on this cruise please.

Cruise the scenic Ripon Canal and spot the bunnies – solve the quiz and win a prize!  Suitable from 1-100 years – this is the third year the Ripon Scenic Cruises rabbits will pop up from their cosy canalside burrows.  

Each year they surprise us with their creativity and this year is no exception! Easter is a great time to get out and explore, with family and friends – stay a while and feed the ducks – you’ll stay dry aboard our little blue boat should there be any April showers too!

The boat has wheelchair access and we’re dog friendly, if you have any other queries just get in touch.
